After you have selected one plant, Shift-click on a second plant in the same row. A box with a different color will appear around the second selected plant. You will need to select two plants in the breeder if you want to breed from two parents. The first selected plant will be the first parent, and the second selected plant will be the second parent of the breeding offspring in the next generation.

Breeding parents are marked with the indicators "p1" and "p2" after breeding is complete.
