Choose Open from the File menu on the main window (or type Ctrl-O).
gif/plantstudio00090000.gif If PlantStudio asks if you want to save changes, click Yes if you want to save the open file, or click No to close the open file without saving changes, or click Cancel to go back to editing the open file (if so, the rest of this doesn't apply).
gif/plantstudio00090000.gif Choose a plant file and click OK. The plants in the plant file you opened will appear in the main window. The name of the newly opened file will be shown in the title bar of the main window.

If you open a plant file and you can see plants in the plant list but nothing in the drawing area, choose Scale to Fit from the Layout menu to reorient the plants.
